discovery of unknown

  1. Mumbai skyline... for sure was the inspiration :)
But more from a perspective to get unified yet not lose identity...
one more thing... its painted not with brush but fingers:D

  2. This comes after a long gap and is worth the wait due to it being different from the earlier ones. No trees, intricate butterflies, flowers, or leaves this time around. First cut thought on seeing this might be, “Nature getting replaced by Concrete, as human endeavor takes precedence”. However, this looks to be complex than that. It is the reflection of change sweeping across. Leisure and moments of solace are getting replaced by spectra fast and burning pace of life. With buildings representing human spirit, indomitable and redoubtable, ready to touch and pierce the sky, there is hardly a scope for emotions to flow. The setting sun, all of crimson is not spreading its colors and painting the heavens in multitude of colors but ends up getting trapped and caged between the towering labyrinths. In essence, the secret is within us to unwind and take cognizance of simple charms that life always showers on our way and develop an identity that unifies us with our soul. The most stunning piece is Sky itself- It is in shades of blue representing hope that resonates with sorrow. Strangely, there are generous dollops of green reminding us of the path we have left in quest of unknown, imploring us to be in sync with nature, peace and tranquility. This painting certainly makes us think the vanity of our never ending race with life that gets us closer to pinnacle but further from our true self.

  6. Amit... wonderfully described... but I will keep my interpretation aside for a while...instead share what my dear friend Shweta felt about this painting:

"painting bhi khubsoorat hai aur soch bhi...
    bold, distinct and beautiful !
    few lines:
    is bejjan hoti duniya ke
    simatte dayaron mein,
    Main kabhi,
    Taral hoon,(i am like liquid)
    saral hoon,(I am simple)
    Ghul bhi jaaon,
    Mat sochna tum
    Ki bhoolti hoon main
    mera wajood (identity)...

    It says it all :D:D:D
