  5. Interpreting the paiting, one line for every visible object there in the painting.
    Ek bahut chota sa prayatna:

Tanhai ki yeh neeli raat hai,
Suraj ki pehli kiran bhi kuch khaas hai.
Tujhse milke bus mil jaane ki aas hai,
Nahi hokar bhi tu, tu mere paas hai!!!

  7. wonderful deepak@ perfecto!!!

this painting is created keeping in mind a number of songs/ verses that I have been hearing repeatedly...
there is some relevance of this date too!!!

    one of them is...
    Pagal pan lagta tha usko
Dair talak jab dekha falak toh
    aankhein neeli paad gayi
Rang uttar aaya hain falak ka
Lagta hai aasman ka rang kacha hai

  9. I feel its something about love.. Longing to meet someone, running behind that someone.. basically the intense urge to get to that someone..n that love has even melted the sun.. n has freed that someone for whom the love is mentioned here..

so in a nutshell i think its the power of someone's love to even melt the mighty sun and take the partner out of all bounds n entrapments..

Dil bahekaata raha hai, dil bahekaata rahega
    Dil ko tumne,kuch samjhaaya hota
Khaamosh sa afsaana paani se likha hota...

  12. The shining sun silhouetted against the dark blue sky represents forbidden fruit of love. Its aura is enough to light up the sky and brighten the dark, quiet waters. It blazes and dazes; displaying supreme emotion and unmitigated passion. Its reflection in deep, blue waters is what our heart sees.
The bird in the painting depicts the human soul: cage-less and free; trying to reach the core of that it thinks is love, but in reality it is just a reflection. This is the basic conundrum everyone faces- We think that we have reached the core of love by taking flights of fancy, traversing through the hues of emotions, abetted by eventful and multicoloured experiences (as depicted by the free flowing and out-stretched fabric).
However, little we know that closer we seem to be to the core, farther it gets. The reason is that we tend to strike the core rather than enjoying the whole slowly meaning thereby that when we realize that we are in love, we bind the person in the fabric of our thoughts and actions by forcing commitments and assurances rather than letting emotions flow unabated. As a result, heart always remains at periphery (as shown at the shore) whereas unbridled expectations take over.
Ever wondered why as we go deeper in love, the person seems stranger? Ever thought why the person who you love seems to be different some time later? The reason is the expectations we weigh him/her with and we end up following the reflection of love rather than immersing ourselves in the true emotion.
Pure love is bereft of burdens of promises and contingencies. It shines forever above, while we mortals try to grab its reflection in the flow of life, leaving the very cause of it: Heart somewhere far on the shore.
Good Painting,, Neha… that gives thoughts and ideas and is deeply probing…

  14. this one is just too good...
the saga of 2 souls....very nice...
for me its just out of the bhagwat geeta...
the bonding between 2 souls is called true love for the materialistic world but spiritually its the first step towards loving the utimate love of the world, for whom love is too small a word to define his grace and purety...

  16. Amit! Seems all true…

Once again! Through your interpretation, I see this piece of art glowing in the radiance of sagacity.
For this one, I would make an attempt to share my perspective in bits and parts… enthused by your elucidation!

Our interpretation is different yet it camouflages with the unspoken language.
Be it the splashing of divergent colors with stark forms or words narrating a fairytale… its all about different zest of the same love!
The symposium of two souls within oneself.

Love is a solitary feeling which exists whether it is returned or not. The mad catastrophe of feelings can shake the unshaken. Even in unrequited form, love rewards imagination and vigor. Every thing gets hidden behind the veil of possibility.

A gamut of emotions- power, euphoria, frailty and destruction fits with the music surging through this painting. The violins moan with longing, the flutes yowl with desire. The prelude to the dark lit sky begins in gloom, while the sun reaches in feverish crescendo and climax, and then unravel itself utterly, ending with a whisper.

The maiden reckons for little or nothing; what is almost everything is a series of emotions; that of agony, hope and passion. The saga comes into existence where love is not the satisfaction of love, but its passion.

This reminds me of a beautiful a beautiful sonnet:
Love in the frost is pared and wintered by,
The whispering ears will watch love drummed away
Down breeze and shell to a discordant beach
And, lashed to syllables, the lynx tongue cry
That her fond wounds are mended bitterly
My nostrils see her breath burn like a bush

  17. poonam@ It’s a sheer delight to know that this painting evoked nectar of love as mentioned in the Bhagavat Gita. You rightly stated that the bonding of the two souls are beyond life and death… it talks about compassion, conviction and principles of attachment and detachment … the sacrosanct supremacy called love…
Reminds me of a quote from Gita:
“Those who consciousness is unified abandon all attachment to the results of action and attain supreme peace. But those whose desires are fragmented, who are selfishly attached to the results of their work, are bound in everything they do.”

    Thankz:):):)

  18. use jaana hai... ye maloom tha usko bhi... phir haat rakh kar chaand par... khate rahe kasmen...

  19. roushan@ im grinning to glory :)
    it reminds me of:
yeh raat kehatee hai woh din gaye tere
yeh jaanata hai dil ke tum nahee mere
khadee hu mai phir bhee nigaahe bichhaaye
mai kya karu haay ke tum yaad aaye
chaand phir nikla magar tum naa aaye...
