  3. This is a painting transcending through emotions and times. At the bottom you have the world filled with joys and then three trees representing Past, Present and Future. While Past tree (extreme left) has a number of dried twigs representing memories: some of them still clinging to the joys of world while the others rejoicing in the achievements.
The middle tree represents Present, and the bunch of flowers represents joys that the human is experiencing currently. The twigs are a lot brighter and fewer on this tree as compared to the past one representing the exuberance of youth and relatively less experience as compared to past. It is relevant that the branches dont stoop to touch the ground but rear up in the azure sky, however reclining slightly towards past to improve upon the shortcomings earlier.
The third tree- Future, draws thoughts from the available joys and revels in the fancies. As seen, future always is endowed with hope (and this the brighter colors on twigs) and seeks to change the present which explains the apparant shift in orientation. Seen closely, however the trunk of the tree are twisted in the same way as that of the present one, showing that future is based on present, however dreams of bettering the present circumstances.
The ambiance is somber blue interspersed with black representing the universe, the world at large which is limitless and boundless and has a lot to offer, but there is a bit of darkness as well...
In all, a thought provoking painting... and a wonderful depiction of life and its myriad of emotions...

  17. Hey, great one again :-)
I don't understand the meaning behind the painting neither try to interpret, whenever I say "I like it", I say from my unconscious mind, but one thing I want to say this time, painting is great.. the interpretation by Amit is even greater.
    Keep splatting the colors :-)

  18. Deepak@ To say that I am embarrassed would be an understatement... A painting is worth a thousand words and million thoughts... My interpretation was just an ode to this particular painting which is rhythm and poetry combined in one...

  22. This masterpiece perfectly symbolises the delusion of the human mind.... wherein the Soul which is symbolized by the bark of the tree tries to keep it upright, but the winds sway the tree in different directions......similarly the human desire and destiny govern our actions and our mind tries to justify it with fuzzy logic :)

I appreciate the dichotomy about desires and destiny... it adds one more dimension to the art work... :D
